I've been told that I am remiss in my blogging. Yes, it's been a long time! So what's happened since my last blog post?

Zach can crawl
On the very day he turned 7 months old, Zach decided he could move all his limbs in succession and actually move forward. This was after months of rocking on his hands and knees.
Zach can pull up
The very next day, I showed Zach that he could hold onto something other than my thumbs and pull himself up. He'd been pulling up on my thumbs for a long time, but I didn't count it until he did it unassisted in any way.
Zach is starting to move his feet
Only recently has he started to move his feet when he's standing. One of these days he might walk. Good thing, because he's getting heavy!

Lora got married
Lora is Ryan's little sister. On December 16th, she married Bryce Jones of Enterprise, UT. We went to St. George for the wedding. It was great to be in Utah again! The boys were awesome in the car, and we got to see lots of beautiful snow. We even stopped for a few minutes in Jacob's Lake so Jared could throw some snowballs. Bryce asked me to take lots of pictures on his camera, so I don't have most of our photos from the wedding. But you can see the ones I do have here.
We visited Aunt Jeannine
Aunt Jeannine lives in St. George, and she graciously offered to let us stay with her Friday night. It made me miss my mom. They look more and more alike every year, I think! We called it a practice run for the kids to meet Nana when we visit El Salvador next month.
We visited Sara and Danny
Las Vegas can be on the way home from St. George to Phoenix. It had been a year since I'd seen Sara, and two years since we saw each others' families! We got to see their Boys and Girls Town group home, although they moved to a different one the very next day. They have a very interesting new life. One that I definitely wouldn't be good at, but it's perfect for them. Macie loved playing with Zach, and Spencer and Jared played hard together. We had to keep reminding Spencer that Jared's still two, because he expected Jared to share better (we're working on that).
We made gingerbread houses! I hadn't done that in years. Jared loved it.
I have NO pictures of that visit, because Sara was mean and let me play with her digital SLR. That was mean because now i want one BAD! With one of those around, there's no way we were going to use my junky point and shoot! So you'll have to wait until Sara shares those with me.

Hoover Dam
On the drive home, we stopped to see the Hoover Dam. They're building a new road that bypasses the dam, so we may not have had another chance. It was so cool--all art deco and Gotham City-esque.
