PONY RIDE

Our stake had a 24th of July celebration including "pony rides." Since Jared had recently asked me if one day I would let him sit on a horse, I thought it was the perfect opportunity. A member brought two of their full-sized horses to a church building with a large grassy area behind it.

After waiting in line for a long time, it was our turn. Jared got on first, then I swung Zach up in the saddle. Oh boy, he didn't like that! I was planning to walk next to them for part of the ride, then take Zach off so Jared could ride alone. But instead, Zach got off right after the picture.

Jared seemed to like the ride, and smiled the whole time. Maybe he'll catch horse-fever, too, just like his mom and cousin Kate did!
