SPONGE
Two weeks ago, on the way home from church, Ryan noted the state of the streets near our chapel. He said they had just chip-sealed the road, then went on to tell me about the process.
Yesterday, on the way home from church, Jared said, "First, they put black stuff on all the cracks, then they put black stuff all over the road, then they put little rocks on top. After a few days, they put more black stuff all over the road, and then they're done!"
Ryan and I looked at each other, wide-eyed. "He remembers all the steps to chip-sealing a road," Ryan said. "He's a sponge," I said.
Very offended, Jared declared, "I am NOT a sponge, I am a BOY!!!"

I'm always amazed at the things Ethan remembers the next day or even a few days later.
We've really had to follow-through on some promises of "tomorrow".
