WOOD TATTOO
I'm finally working on my Super Saturday project from a week and a half ago. It's a Family Home Evening Chart that is a big slab of wood, with vinyl letters and horseshoe nails that you hang little wooden tags on. The tags have family members' names, and the nails go under the assignments "prayer" "song" "treats" etc. written in vinyl letters.
At Super Saturday, I didn't even start on it because they didn't have the color of paint I wanted. Yesterday I dug through boxes and rearranged a majority of the duplex to find my box of paints and paintbrushes. I got the painting done last night. It was good to be crafty again!
So this morning, I prepared for my first attempt at applying vinyl letters. Jared just had to be involved, and had to know how it all worked. I don't think it quite made sense until he watched me peel off the paper and the letters stayed on the wood. Suddenly a light bulb appeared above his head, and he said, "Is that like a wood tattoo?"
He's only had one temporary tattoo ever, and that was at least6 months ago. I guess he was really paying attention to how I put it on him, eh?
By the way, I didn't get the vinyl letters on quite straight, but hopefully no one will notice if I don't tell them ;)
And mine is red with tan letters, instead of the stock photo I got from a web site (clicking on the photo will take you there, although I didn't pay nearly that much for mine!)
