This one didn't turn out how I really wanted it to--but I think I like it anyway! I wanted the page to reflect the softness and serenity of the photo. Instead, I think the grunge of this layout emphasizes the sweetness of the photo by contrasting with it. At least, that's the only explanation I have for why it works.

Also, I don't get to do many pages with just one photo. It goes against my scrapbooking philosophy, which is to have an interesting photo album that tells the story of the photos so you don't have to sit down and look at it with someone who can tell you about each picture. So I like lots of photos and lots of journaling. But every once in a while, there is a photo that I just have to showcase regardless of whether it tells a story or not. This is one of my favorites of newborn Jared. It's so peaceful and soft, with him wrapped up in the Pooh blankie my mom made for him.
It doesn't really go with the style of the rest of the book, but I've tried to scrap it other ways and this is just what happened. So I think this will make the final cut and get printed in the baby book!
