HOUSE UPDATE
With only minor bumps, our house is still sold!!! The buyers gave us a stink about how old the air conditioner and furnace are. What do you expect when you are buying a 37 year old house? But we got that all smoothed out (and gave them even more money off the sale price, of course) and we're crossing our fingers that we'll be able to close EARLY, hopefully on Friday! Otherwise it's a long weekend, during which the buyers will be homeless.
Last time we "sold" our house, the problem was that at the last minute, the buyers couldn't get funding. This time, we know that the buyers can borrow more than they're paying for the house, so that shouldn't be a problem. Phew! It looks like we won't be home owners for much longer!
Of course, we'd like to be homeowners, just not in Arizona. Someday we'll be Idaho home owners. But for now, we've been downgraded to renters.
Which reminds me, I'll take pictures of our new digs soon, I promise!
