FATHER'S DAY
Ryan got two Father's Day gifts early this year. A weed-eater (joy of joys) and a headlamp. But he had two more to open today after dinner. We got him two framed photos of cougars to put in his office at work (or wherever he so desires).
After dinner, he wanted to go stroll along the Green Belt, just like last year. Still exhausted from our trip to Craters of the Moon, we thought we wouldn't go far and would take a leisurely pace.
We went to a new section and had no idea that it was so long! Nor that we wouldn't find a bridge to cross the river and double back. It was so beautiful, we just kept walking. And I was scoping out possible locations to take a family photo. Finally we had to ask someone how to get back. We got a little lost and ended up walking down a major Boise street as dark fell. Dark doesn't fall until 10 pm here, so being out until dark is really not what we had in mind. But we finally found our Jeep again and straggled back home.
We kept reminding ourselves that we were on an adventure!
