WEDDING RECEPTION
Our excuse to visit Phoenix was Ryan's brother's wedding reception. Scott and Jennifer got married in Hawaii at the beginning of the month. The reception was in Mesa. The boys were well behaved, after Jared woke up all the way. At first, he was Mr. Grumpy himself. They enjoyed getting to drink soda and eat cupcakes! And after a while, Jared got his groove on and turned into a dancing fool. He tried the electric slide with me and everything! After that, he just danced near our table to burn off all the sugar he'd consumed.
The decorations were bright colors with a Hawaiian theme (of course), so that was fun. And they had an interesting idea. They passed around fabric pens and pre-cut fabric that will be sewn into a quilt. We wrote well-wishes (or in the boys' case, drew pictures) on the fabric for them.
It was a nice evening.
