We celebrated my birthday yesterday. And the night before. Tuesday night, Ryan took me out to eat at our traditional birthday diner, Red Robin. Then we tried out a new movie theater and saw Prince Caspian. I loved it! I have loved the Chronicles of Narnia since I was little.
Last night, the boys sang a lovely rendition of Happy Birthday to Mommy. It was so cute! They can carry a tune pretty well, and their tiny voices were adorable! Then they helped me blow out my candles. They had wrapped some presents and chose a very funny card. Zach chose to give me a set of purple bangle bracelets, and Jared chose a brown bead necklace. I'll be stylin' this week at church!
We had a yummy chocolate cake with yummy ice cream (I splurged and bought the name-brand stuff) and lots of hugs. What a nice day!
The cake was store-bought, for perhaps the first time in my life. But it looked soooo yummy! And it is. It's a ring-cake, or bundt, or whatever it's called. Hence the Burning Ring of Fire reference. After I'd cut us each a piece, about two-thirds was left. Zach exclaimed, "Happy Birthday Rainbow!" He's so dang cute!
Mmmm...I think I want another piece...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUSIE!! :) I understand about the ring of fire comment. I purposefully forgot candles when we had my party. I think they were able to find 3 in the cupboard. He he he. I hope you had a ton of fun. It sounds like you did.
