CHEEKY MONKEY
Zach has zoo animals all around the top part of his wall. He likes to tell us what they are. So yesterday, I asked him what they were. One he calls, "purple monkey" or "purple gorilla." Not bad! But I stumped him when I asked him about the rhinoceros. He thought for a second, then said, "triceratops." Whoa, I didn't know he knew his dinosaurs, too!
The other funny thing he's been saying is about Thomas the Tank Engine. He loves Thomas, and lately he must sleep with Jared's Duplo Thomas. But Zach doesn't call him Thomas, he calls him "The Cheeky One."
For those of you who don't have little boys, the theme song for Thomas and Friends talks about each of the characters and they sing: "THOMAS! He's the cheeky one. JAMES is vain but lots of fun..." etc.
