FALL HARVEST
I'm so jealous of Julie's harvest. At the time that she posted on her blog about her harvest, we had nothing. We planted 5 zucchini plants, 8 bell pepper plants, and two pumpkin plants. Nothing!
Well, just last week, Ryan spotted a small zucchini! We let it grow, and it became this beautiful specimen.
So that's our bountiful harvest. We have also discovered a small green pumpkin. Seeing as how the grocery stores are full of giant pumpkins, I'm not at all sure this one will make it past a 6-inch diameter, or that it will turn orange.
Seriously, with the amount of plants we have in the back yard, I was expecting to fill the freezer with peppers and puréed pumpkin. Oh well.

that was our pumpkin problem in Texas. I was hoping to decorate with some of our own pumpkins. But they were not ready early enough so we ended up buying some. Oh well still fun to see them coming up! I miss gardening!
