UPGRADES
I think I'm done with the temporary improvements to this house. I mean things that we can't take to our new place when we move. It's about time--we're about half-way through our rental contract!
First is my bathroom curtain. This is awesome because it was a small table cloth I bought at a yard sale for $1. Fold over the top, sew two lines, and viola! You've got yourself a curtain. It just happened the be the perfect width. Add a ribbon with a thumb tack for a tie-back, and you've instantly got more color. In this case, maybe it's too much purple? I'm starting to feel like the artist formerly known as Prince or something! The boys bathroom started out in Glendale. It's orange and yellow. In AZ, the walls were yellow, and the theme was very subtle. I just had a few Suzy's Zoo pictures on the wall, with white towels and a white shower curtain.
Well, my white towels got stolen, so when I bought new ones and saw these cute lion towels, I changed the theme! Still orange and yellow for colors, but it's kind of fun to be a bit zoo-ish. It could be lots of fun in a new house, too. Bright and colorful.
A lady I babysat for had stenciled a train on her boys' bathroom mirror with craft paint. I thought that was a great, temporary idea, and told myself to remember to do that. Well, I didn't until now. I painted the lion and monkey from the towels on the mirror. The boys think it's fun.

It's kind of a goony monkey, but Zach loves it (he's a monkey at heart), and I was just copying the hand-towel. Can't blame me for the gooniness!

That looks awesome! Does it not come off when you clean the mirrors? Just curious. :)
