CONSERVATIONIST
Jared likes peanut butter & jelly roll-ups, which are just PB&J's on a tortilla instead of bread. I always spear them with a toothpick to keep it from unrolling into a big gooey mess.
Today, Jared was super-hungry, and asked for another roll-up when he finished his first. And he asked to make it himself (he's getting all independent like that.)
When he finished rolling it all up, he found the toothpick from his first roll-up on his plate and stuck it in his masterpiece. Then he asked me if toothpicks are made out of tree wood. "Then I'm reusing this toothpick and saving a tree!"
You know, I guess you've gotta start small! If Jared reuses ten thousand toothpicks in his life, he might actually save a sapling!
