ZACHARY IS 9 MONTHS OLD!

His current interests include pulling on all of Mommy's fun necklaces (which need to be repaired often), trying to get a few moments to myself without Jared breathing down his neck, finding things to eat on the floor, floor surfing (putting his hands on an object with or without wheels, pushing it across the floor, and crawling like crazy with his legs to keep up), and being tossed and flipped around by adults. He's recently discovered that playgrounds are fun even if you can't walk yet.
He's being very brave and letting go of supportive objects. He only stands alone for a fraction of a second, but it's a start. Another fun thing is that when he's holding onto the couch and wants to get down, he spins around, hands high in the air, and dives to the floor. He catches himself with those hands and hits the floor crawling. He's very fast!
We've started trying out baby signs, but Zach mostly finds them very funny. He hasn't quite gotten that they should mean something.
