PHOENIX NOW & THENI gave Ryan a book called Phoenix Now & Then a while back. It has old photos from the 1940's and earlier next to current photos of the same area, along with an explanation of what has changed. On Saturday, we drove around and looked at the sites from the book. We especially liked sitting in Patriot's Park, right downtown, where we could see lots of old buildings and the boys could play in the grass. The crazy homeless people were a bit unnerving, but they left us alone and we them. Jared really liked the "big white thing." It's a cover for some sort of stage in the park. The boys were great until the end, then their boredom forced us to end our fun outing together.
