Wow, what a lot of work it is to get a house ready for sale! Especially when there are two preschoolers in the house. It's two steps forward, one step back, because after I get one room spotless, I go focus on another. But before I'm done with that one, the first one has toys on the floor again, or couch cushions spread around. The boys are so bored while I work that they get into trouble.
The realtor wants the whole house perfect so she can take photos for the listing, but I was quickly realizing that would be very difficult. So I decided that as I got one room perfect, I would take photos. I mean, what was I thinking? I always take my own photos! I take baby portraits, family portraits, and I took our own passport photos. Why would I let some realtor use her point and shoot when I have my own?
So that's what I did. I told my friend, Eva, my plan, and she said, "Watch out, or she'll want to hire you to take all her photos." She's so nice. Too nice, in fact. When I had the photos ready, I sent them to the realtor and asked if they were good enough. Her response? "You're hired to take my photos!"
I guess Eva wasn't just being nice, she was psychic!
