THERE'S AN ELEPHANT IN THE HOUSE!
That would be Jared, because elephants never forget.
Easter has snuck up on me this year, and it was just yesterday that I thought to mention it to Jared. It's kind of fun to explain everything to him thoroughly every year, because he can't possibly remember from one Christmas, Easter, or Halloween to the next.
Wrong! When I brought up Easter, Jared asked if we would get out his basket. He was with me when I bought Zach's a few weeks ago, so I thought he was asking if he'd get one, too. But then he went on to tell me that it was blue, light blue, and that last year he got a blue rubber ducky in it, and that there were Hot Wheels inside plastic eggs, and candy, too. That is exactly what I put in his Easter basket nearly a year ago.
He also told me about how he went to find eggs, but his basket got too heavy for him. Yup, I had to carry his basket, too.
How in the world does a three year old remember that?
We've got an elephant in the house!
