ZACH'S FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY
I did a jungle theme. I kinda slacked off on the decorations, but when everyone decided they were going to come an hour late (at 3 pm), I whipped some up in my extra time. I copied a cute little monkey face cake from the internet.
Ryan had to leave at 3:45, so we kinda had to rush things.
Zach didn't get the wrapping paper thing. I stuck a present in front of him and he looked at it like, "why did you put that in my way?" as he tried to crawl toward something more interesting. Jared was more than happy to help him unwrap, and after one, Zach finally seemed to understand. But then he didn't want to stop playing with his first present to open the second, and so on. That's okay, because a lot of stuff was really for Jared.
He got a Pop Onz table and a jungle set, a Peekablocks elephant, some toy to put a ball in, some clothes and new shoes. Which is good, because he's already wearing size 6 and walking everywhere. Yesterday, he took off down the sidewalk all alone. And also a CARS book for the LeapPad. That's something for both boys that Zach will truly enjoy now. He loves that Leap Pad!
Both boys are in Christmas Morning-like heaven with all the new toys. It's great!
