FUN DAY
Today we went to the "kid's gym," which is an even hosted by Boise Parks & Rec. They put a whole bunch of Little Tikes and other large toys in one of the basketball gyms at the rec center and let the preschool-aged kids run free. Jared and Zach had a blast. They love the ride-in cars and the big wagon, plus the giant balls (I think they're exercise balls) and....well, there are just a bunch of cool toys, and today there were lots of kids, too. When the two hour play time was over, I put Zach's shoes on and he got mad. He sat on the floor screaming and trying to get his shoes back off. He knew that shoes on means we're leaving!
On our way out to the parking lot, we saw that the neighboring Senior Center has a thrift store. Always a sucker for those, I decided to see what it was like. We found a 24-piece (I counted them all in the store to make sure none were missing) Winnie-the-Pooh puzzle for Jared. I said we could do it after lunch, because he usually needs a little help until he's familiar with the puzzle. He insisted on getting it out immediately and did it all by himself! I swear, that kid gets smarter every day!
