WARMTH!
Today is in the mid-seventies, and it's marvelous! Yesterday was mid-sixties, but it was windy enough to make it not very pleasant. We took advantage anyway and went to a park (see some pictures here). But today was going to be the most glorious day to be outdoors, so we planned to go to the park, albeit a lame one, here in town.
I was trying to herd the boys, who were unexplainably reluctant to get in the Jeep. It took them so long to get ready that we all got hungry, so I delayed us even more by hurriedly packing a picnic lunch. At that moment, the contractor pulled up with his Bobcat tractor. He said it was okay for them to climb in it, and they jumped at the opportunity. He's got two little kids of his own and says they do the same thing.
But then I tried to get them out to go to the park. Zach said, "NO OUT!!!!" Jared said, "I don't WANT to!" So we voted, and the park was vetoed. Instead, we pulled out some sitting implements and ate our lunch while watching the Bobcat do its marvelous scooping and dumping.
Even more exciting, the contractor said that he's going to come back another day and switch the tires for caterpillar tracks, so he can smooth out the dirt better. The only thing Jared likes better than Bobcats are Bobcats with tracks!

See all the photos of our adventure here.
