IVYWILD POOL
We went to a very cool pool today. We'd been there once, last summer, and were anxious to go again. They have a very warm baby pool with two slippery slides, water dumpers, a huge soft rubbery turtle to climb on and slide off, and lots of room to just splash around. The larger, much colder pool boasts 3 mushrooms (personally, I'm not a fan), a curvy water-slide, and two of these weird half-slides in the deep end instead of diving boards. They start out as a water slide, then suddenly there's no slide, so the last half of the ride is falling straight down. They're pretty fun. The best part is that the boys can ride on our laps down the curvy slide. Both boys went down several times and loved every minute of it. When we hit the pool at the bottom on the last time we went down (ride #10, at least), Zach said, "Mommy, more!" He just couldn't get enough!
Jared showed off all his new swimming skills to Ryan, and worked on his arm strokes. He did really well, and actually managed to propel himself a little ways underwater (usually, he just thrashes around and thinks he's moving!)
After 2 hours, Zach started getting goose bumps, and I we were all getting ready to be done, or so I thought. Zach agreed that a warm towel sounded nice, so we got out and I wrapped him up. He snuggled with me for about 10 seconds, then said, "Ready."
"You're ready? For what?"
"Jump."
"You're ready to jump?"
Nod.
"Into the water?"
Nod.
Oh great.

Jared didn't want to leave, either. We asked him which pool he likes better, this one, or the Meridian pool where he has his lessons.
"I like both of them better!"
Both boys fell asleep within minutes of getting in the car. We took advantage and drove around that part of Boise. We can't afford any of the houses there. DANG.
It's now 11:00 pm, and Zach still hasn't woken up. This could mean trouble!
