You answer vocabulary questions, and for ever one you get right, Free Rice and its sponsors donate 20 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program. The vocab questions self-adjust according to your prowess, so it's kind of fun to see how high you can get (I usually hover around 40).
And I just discovered that there are other subjects, too. So I tried my hand at Spanish. I got up to a level 10/10! It took me a little longer to get to a 10 in French. I'm going to try Italian now. There's also famous paintings (remember art appreciation class?) , chemistry, geography, etc.
