I finished Jared's quilt today! And how fitting of a day to finish it, too. It rained all night and we woke up to rain this morning. And this evening, there was a hint of a chill in the air.
I found the edge that Zach cut up with scissors. Satin stitching took care of it and I'd buy you a Jamba Juice if you could find where I patched it up!
The suspense was killing me. I couldn't wait to get it on Jared's bed. But he didn't seem to care much. Oh well. He did say that it was keeping him warm as I tucked him in tonight. I don't think he really noticed the lack of decorative bedcover. I guess that's a girl (or Mom) thing.
Now I need to get his headboard painted, a pillowsham made, and his little red chair painted. The long to-do list is the curse of the do-it-yourselfer.
I've also decided that it's really hard to take attractive pictures that show an entire quilt!
