ROUGH DAY
I think I handled things pretty well, but I did almost cry.
The first thing involved poop and carpet. With potty-training in progress, I'm sure you can fill in the rest. That one was disgusting and all, but not unexpected.
But what almost brought me to tears is that I caught Zachy with scissors, cutting holes in the quilt I've been working on for Jared's bedroom! He looked so proud, and was crushed when I told him it was bad. He cried for 5 minutes while I tried my hardest not to.
The worst part was that I found out that Jared watched him cutting up his quilt! He usually tattles on every single little thing Zach does, like holding a spoon anywhere outside the kitchen. But he just watched him with scissors! He kindly told me that he'd seen him cutting the edges, too, so look there.
Luckily, I did a little satin stitching and could fix the three holes in the quilt. At least the ones I found. I didn't see anything on the edge I inspected, but there are three more that could be shredded!
Deep breath....tomorrow will be better!

Oh Susie - being a creative person myself I can understand how upsetting that would be.
Kids and scissors - not a fun combination for sure!
Be creative if you have to patch up the holes (a piece of fabric that says "Zach cut a hole in me here" or something like that), and someday when the boys are teenagers they'll enjoy the scissor story and cherish the quilt all the more:)
