BOXES AND BOXES AND EVEN MORE BOXES
I'm pretty proud of myself. In the past two days, I have unpacked and hauled to the garage about 20 boxes! It's all boring stuff: food, pots, pans, cutting boards. I did find a box that I'd unpacked half-way, then apparently decided to fill it up again last week before the move. So the top half was stuff I'd seen recently, and the bottom half I hadn't seen in 2 years! It was an uninteresting trip down memory lane as I found my old purple pen and orange mini Sharpie marker keychain that we got for free back when they were a hot new item. Yawn.
But at the bottom of the box, I found two bundles carefully wrapped in packer's paper. I was surprised to find two large oyster shells wrapped in one package, then I remembered buying a set of 4 (they said they were for baking???) at an estate sale for a quarter. They used to be on a shelf under my lighthouse painting. So I assumed the other bundle was the other two shells. I unwrapped the bundle carefully, but instead found (drum roll, please!).............................
And empty roll of brown packer's tape.
I sure am glad we've hauled that around for two years!

It's good to know that you took such great care at packing the tape :-P
When we moved from NY back to CA, the military hired packers to pack our house...and they packed EVERYTHING! We found old pens, pencils, reciepts, bascially trash carefully folded in packing paper. It's nice to know that we hauled all that junk around for so many years, keeping it in storage and eventually in our garage.
You are by far more productive than I. We have been here for about 6 months and there's still boxes in the garage awaiting us to open them.
