FINALLY BACK
We finally got internet set up at our new house. Wahoo! I was having withdrawal symptoms :)
We had a very long, tiring day on Saturday. Our old church ward helped us load the truck, and our new ward helped us unload it. We went back ourselves for a few more big things that wouldn't fit on our first run, and boy, were we tired! We were getting so we could hardly lift anything or make it up the stairs. The boys fell asleep while I was sweeping out the truck (about 4:30). We returned the truck and got some take-out, laid down the boys' mattresses and tucked them in. Then we ate and were sipping hot cocoa by the fire when my thoughts turned to going to bed. I laughed when I saw that it wasn't even 7 yet!
Of course, the boys woke up soon after that. We got all our beds set up, and we looked surprisingly moved in! With our usual bedding and most of the bedroom furniture in place, it was hard to imagine that earlier in the day, all those things had been in a different house.
Now the family room is nearly presentable (I still need to haul some Christmas boxes out to the garage), I've found half of the kitchen counter, and last night, we decorated the Christmas tree! There are, of course, untouched boxes all over the place, and furniture that hasn't found a home yet. But there are only about 4 in the family room, 3 in each of the boys' rooms, and, well, the kitchen isn't looking so great. But it's gettin' there!
I think it still hasn't sunk in that we get to live here. My mindset for the past two years has been, "we're moving" or "this isn't permanent." It's going to take a while for me to get it in my head that we're here for good!

I've got some cute stories from the move and the past few days, but I'll post them separately so this isn't so long!
