FLASHBACK FRIDAY--HIGH SCHOOL
This is my high school ID. Pretty funny, huh? What was up with those color-block shirts? Remember the polo shirts that had two different colored sleeves, which were, of course, not the same color as the body, and the collar was yet another color? The worst part is that those became uniforms. McDonalds and Subway and all sorts of other businesses bought into the color block shirts. But I'm glad they did that, because I think seeing them on so many unskilled employees made the fad die fast!
Of course, you've got to love that they spelled my last name wrong. Hello!
I also love that my eyes look freakishly blue. They actually were bright blue back then. That was the year that they looked different every single day, until they finally got stuck on what I like to call "heather green." That's bluish-grayish-green. I found "heather green" in a book about Irish people, and I imagined their "heather green" eyes to look like mine.

That round sticker that says "Valid ASB" meant that we'd paid a small upfrong fee and could get into all the football games for free. Oh boy, have I gone to a lot of football games at COC Stadium in my lifetime! I remember going when I was very young, to watch my big sister perform with the Drill Team. And after we moved back to Santa Clarita, I went to most of the games with my friends. Looking back, it's quite funny that until I met Ryan, I had no idea what was going on with the game. I just went to be in a crowd, talk to my friends, and shout the cheers until I went hoarse. I only glanced at the scoreboard to see if we were winning. I'm still no football fan unless it's my BYU Cougars, but now at least I know how the game is played!
