NEW FACE IN TOWN
I bought a clock at a thrift store a few weeks ago. It has no glass or frame or anything, which is why it was perfect. Because I've been wanting to try my hand at designing a clock face.

Here are the before and after pictures.

I used my new Persimmony scrapbooking page kit, to draw a clock face on Photoshop. The kit was inspired by my bathroom decor, which is perfect since the clock is hanging in my bathroom.

It was fun to design, especially because Jared was watching me, and wanted to learn Roman Numerals. Yes, that's right, he knows Roman Numerals now (roll my eyes).

After I was done with the design, I sent it to print at Sam's Club as a 12x16" photo poster. It cost less than $3. The clock face of course didn't take up the entire 16" height so I stuck a family photo and a name sign for Jared's room in the extra space (gotta take advantage).

I cleaned up the thrift store clock, gently pulled off the hands, and cut a center hole in the printed clock face with a box cutter. Then I taped the clock face to the clock, turned it over, and traced the outer diameter onto the back of the photo paper. I took it back off and carefully cut around my line, then sprayed the clock with spray adhesive and stuck on the printed clock face. Or at least, that's the Cliff Notes version. I made a few mistakes and discoveries along the way.

You can see from the photo that it took almost exactly half an hour until the clock was back hanging on the wall. If I'd known what I was doing, it would have gone much faster!

By the way, it seems that clocks with Roman Numerals use IIII for 4 instead of IV. Does anyone know why? My 4th grade teacher would cringe!
