We found the box with our kite in it! This isn't just any cheapie kite. It's ripstop nylon with a horse appliqué. It could last us for years to come!
Tuesday promised to be boring until I noticed the wind. So we headed for Settler's Park, which is very close and has huge open soccer fields.

The boys got turns holding the handle, but the wind was so strong, I worried it would get away from them! Zach actually let go, just for fun (I nearly had a heart attack), but luckily we were flying it really low right then, so it just crashed. As a child, my kite string snapped when it was all the way out, and I watched helplessly as my bright orange kite sailed away. So sad. So I guess I'm a little worried about that happening again.

See how low we could fly it? The wind was really strong!

Of course, we stopped by the playground before we went home. I think this is really cute, although the kids don't really understand what they're doing.
I uploaded more photos
here, so go take a look!
