Haircut and a Giggle

Luke's Muppet fuzz got a trim today! For 3 months, I just couldn't bring myself to cut that long hair he was born with. But it finally got a bit too "old homeless man" for me.

The "Muppet Fuzz" (before)

I just trimmed the ends with scissors. With Jared and Zach, their first hair cut involved clippers to remove their baby mullets. But I love how long and thick Luke's hair is in back.

Half-way done. You can see how much I cut off!

All done!

So he's no longer channeling Benjamin Franklin, although he does have a weird all-the-way-around-the-head bald spot from laying down all the time.

He looks so different to all of us! Older somehow.

Later this evening, I was playing with Luke on the floor. He loves to be jiggled, and for about 3 weeks, he's been on the verge of giggling. He looks like he's trying really hard to laugh, but only gets out one little giggleburst at a time. But tonight, I jiggled him and we heard that wonderful sound of a baby's laugh again! I love it!

We also watched him doing push-ups and rolling over.
I think he was showing off for Uncle Scott tonight. He has rolled from his back to his stomach a few times, but I don't think it's consistent enough to earn a sticker in his baby book quite yet.

Pushing up

He also likes standing up, although he doesn't last long doing it. His little legs get tired and he sinks to his knees.

he is getting too big! oh, and that hair did need to get cut but it does turn them into little boys instead of babies way too fast! He is such a cutie!
