Luke's tooth cracked. Luke's tooth cracked a lot.
Look at that crack. What a crack! What a crack in that tooth!
The dentist looked at Luke's tooth.
The dentist did not like Luke's tooth. He did not like it one bit!
He said he can not fix it. That tooth would have to go.
The dentist did not like Luke's tooth, but he did like Luke.
He liked Luke a lot. And Luke got a prize for being so brave!
THE END
(until we write the sequel, called Luke Loses his Tooth,
or Gaping Hole in Luke's Mouth,
or Laughing Gas for Toddlers)

Unfortunately, the dentist could not pull the tooth that day. It is cracked so far up the tooth that it would just crumble when he tried to pull it, and he thought he'd have to "dig around" in there, so he wants Luke anesthetized for the ordeal. He doesn't want to turn him against dentists for life! So we had to leave his tooth as it is all weekend, until he could get some time in the surgical center on Monday. He prescribed prophylactic antibiotics until then.
Since Friday, when we took him to the dentist, Luke's tooth has gotten much worse. Very gross indeed! The dark stuff in the photos above is the pulp of the tooth. More has oozed out, or something has! It is white and bulbous and smells bad. It has also pushed the tooth fragments farther down, back, and apart.
Yucky yucky yucky!!! |
