Wednesday, we bought a swimming pool! You know, a wading pool from the grocery store. I invited Jared's friends to play in it after naps, but Jared slept extra long. When they came and hopped directly in the pool, I woke up Jared. He was groggy and grumpy until I opened the blinds and showed him. He said, "MY FRIENDS!!! My swim poo!" All traces of sleepiness were instantly gone and he asked for a "bwoo buy-per" (translated, that's blue diaper, meaning a swim diaper) and his "wed swim suit."

Today Jared and I were enjoying a treat together, and I asked him if was yummy. He said, "a lil bit yummy." I asked if it was just a little bit yummy or really yummy, and he insisted it was only "a lil bit yummy." So I asked him what is really yummy. His answer? "Shock-wet." That's chocolate to you and me. What else is really yummy? "Ice cweem." Apparently nothing else is really yummy. Even rice crispie treats are only "a lil bit yummy."
We have been shopping for Father's Day gifts for the past two days. I'm so used to talking about things to Jared that I asked him what we'd gotten for Daddy and for Grandpa. That's when I realized that he could easily spill the beans, and I need to be careful about what I tell him. Luckily his answer was, "dohn know." I just left it at that.
