IT'S OFFICIAL
Enough with asking myself, "Does this count for the baby book?" Zach now officially can sit up. The power in our church building was out today and it was terribly hot. We only had Sacrament Meeting because it was a missionary farewell, but then we all went home. Because there was no microphone, we had to keep the kids as quiet as possible or take them out. So Zach and I spent some time in the foyer. He seemed to be sitting up for a long time on the couch, so I decided to time him when we got home.
Well, on the carpet he only made it 22 seconds, but on a softer surface, such as the bed or couch, he's passed 60 seconds easily. So I've decided it's official. Zach is now a sitter! Of course I got a photo of the moment.
This is a big weekend for him. He found his toes on Friday, had his first cereal and first hike Saturday, and today he officially sits alone. His baby book is loaded with little milestone stickers this week!
We tried solids again today, and Zach has picked it up on just his second try! He opens his mouth for the spoon, then smacks at the cereal and swallows with a minimum of oozage out of his mouth.
