PRIMARY SCRIPTURE
Jared gave his first Primary assignment today. He was assigned to recite a scripture. We tried to find one with words he could pronounce, and decided on the First Article of Faith.
Anyone who has been in Primary, either as an adult or an older child, knows that a Sunbeam's reaction to standing in front of everyone with a microphone can be a craps shoot. Half of them end up crying, hiding their faces in their mother's shoulder, or freezing and just staring at everyone. And if they don't do any of those things, chances are you won't understand a word they say.
Not so with Jared! He did awesome. I whispered the Article of Faith to him in three parts, and he spoke them clearly into the microphone. And on the way home, he said that we should have picked a longer scripture so he could stay up there longer. He's ready to be a Youth Speaker!

Way to go Jared!! I've had a kid (not mine personally) wet herself from being up at the mike at Primary. Glad mine have been pretty brave so far!

Good job Jared! Caden got to give the scripture in Primary last week. It was fun for him too. :) You guys are like peas in a pod!
