This was a bummer to discover. The quad my brother and sisters gave me for 8th grade graduation, which were inside the scripture tote my mom expertly sewed for me when I was in high school (still very attractive after all the changes in fashion), was in the Uhaul. Besides the sentimentality of who gave them to me, they were my seminary and missionary scriptures! They had lots and lots of things marked, writing in the margins, etc. It is one of the very personal things I lost.
So I got new scriptures. A silver lining is that they are now embossed with my full married name (it barely fit, by the way. I have a stinkin' long name!) And I also got a new tote. Now this one won't be cute in 15 years (wow, was I really in high school 15 years ago? How did I get that old?), because it's super cute and trendy. And I LOVE it! It's by this company called Supernal Industry. And their cute totes cost the same as some really sick frilly quilted fabric ones (you know, with cutesy fabric and ruffles?) from the BYU Bookstore. I almost didn't post a link for
fear of offending someone. But here's the sick ruffly tote from the bookstore. I hope none of y'all own one like it! Of course, you can also buy the Supernal totes from the bookstore, too.Isn't it adorable? ------->
I'm looking forward to taking them to church tomorrow. Usually I don't have enough hands, and have too many bags, so I don't take my scriptures to church. But I am from now on!

Wow!! I love your scripture tote!! I have to take a big bag every week, so I've never gotten a tote...I might just have to with how cute your's is!!
I forgot to mention: So sad that your old scriptures were stolen. I have my old ones in a cabinet and any time I prepare a lesson or study something, I pull them out because it's easier to find stuff in them...
OH my gosh how could you not like the frilly ones from the bookstore! I TOTALLY LOVE those frilly ones and at one time I was employed as a sewing tech. making those. That is actually how I paid my way through BYU. So I cannot believe you are totally dissin' on my frilly bags - Dang love those things and you are calling them sick. That is confusing in and of itself because I have teenagers and to them something "sick" is really cool but I get the feeling you REALLY meant sick!
o.K. so are you feeling really annoyed, scared or laughing right now? I hope I got ya!
I DID NOT sew the sick frilly bags to get through BYU and I love the bag site you posted:))
Just thought I'd introduce myself because I am your neighbor. You weren't free for dinner, the night of the R.S. party I don't know why but we did not talk so here I am. I found your blog and I am totally hoping you are laughing at this silly post!
Hope to actually talk to you soon and if you need a cup of sugar - I am just down the street!
P.S. I think you are crazy for not turning on your AC but I am sure your bill looks better than mine!!
Have a good one:)
Love the tote! Such cute colors!
