SHOPPING SPREE!
Tonight, the boys and I went on an all-fun shopping spree. Well, the things we bought were all fun, although there were some boring moments. All these things are replacements for items stolen from our Uhaul trailer this Spring.
We got Jared and Zach new bikes. Jared's looks much like the one he got for Christmas. It's black with yellow and red flames. The decals aren't quite as cool, but he's super-excited. We replaced Zach's Rock 'N Ride bike. I considered buying him a 12" bike, but he still doesn't "get" pedaling and steering. He just seemed too high off the ground. The Rock 'N Ride is more like a Big Wheel, and it has a handle for the parents to control.
We replaced lots of movies, too. We got CARS, The Incredibles, Peter Pan, Monsters Inc., and Tarzan. We also got Leap Frog Talking Words Factory, but they didn't have the Code Word Caper (it's where Jared learned about silent e's). I think we'll buy it online. We decided that the boys are way beyond the Word Factory movie, so we got Math Circus instead. Jared is, in his own way, trying to figure out multiplication, so I think he'll enjoy that.
And instead of the Leap Frog Fridge Phonics (the boys are beyond that toy, too), we got the Word Whammer. It's basically the same, and uses the same letter magnets, but you put three letters together to spell words! Jared's in love.
We also bought two bags of MegaBlocks. They have been our most-used toys of all time. We're still searching for a giant MegaBlocks dump truck, and I think I have a lead.
Oh, and the humble $4 soccer ball was received with much affection, too.
I lied. We also got diapers, which were not at all interesting or fun. Yeah, they stole DIAPERS! I hope someone in Omaha is enjoying our old stuff! We're enjoying our new stuff here in Ideho!
