NOT SO BORING?
I guess life isn't that boring after all. Today we had such excitement as an antenna installer can produce. Zach loves to have visitors, and if they don't come in the house, he sobs, "I want he to come back!" So he was quite happy that the installer stayed for two whole hours.
So we're ready for the digital conversion, which may or may not be coming on February 19th. And our tv picture looks tons better!
And last Friday, we got to babysit! And not just anyone, we got to babysit a baby girl. The boys are in love with baby girls, for some reason. They were so excited all Thursday, and helped me get out a few baby things from the closet. They doted on the poor little baby, who is only 4 months old, but was born 10 weeks early, so she should really be about 2 nths old. When I was getting Zach down for his nap (he's being a real bugger about naps now, and I have to lay down in bed with him and read him a story until he passes out), she started to wake up and fuss. I needed just another few minutes to make sure Zach was all the way asleep, but almost got up to get the baby. Then suddenly, she stopped crying. "Huh," I thought. When I came out, Jared was tending to the baby. He'd turned on the swing's lights and music, popped her pacifier back in, and was baby talking to her. He's so sweet!
A few minutes later, he gave her a bottle. Halfway through, I offered to take over, but he smiled and said, "no, this is fun." When Zach woke up from his nap, he was quite upset that the baby's mom had taken her back home. It's a good thing that we'll get to watch her again!
