I mentioned my stop at the thrift shop yesterday. I didn't mention another of my deals, two matching lamps. When do you find two matching lamps at a thrift store? If you don't know already, that's NEVER. I've been searching for lamps for our nightstands for about 4 years now.
So I grabbed them.
Here's what they looked like. Attractive, yes?
When in thrift stores, you must think of potential.
Viola! 10 minutes of work and they turned into this.
To top it off (literally--I'm so punny!) I had already picked up two matching lampshades from Lowe's. The tags said $20. I paid two. I actually didn't look them over too thoroughly. Turns out they're real silk!
Lamps $8
Spray paint $1 (except it was left over from another project, so it was free!)
Lamp shades $4
= $12 for 2 matching nightstand lamps.
Click here to see my $6 lamp on my $3 nightstand next to my $5 headboard (tee hee!)
