While the Boys are away, the Mom shall play!

Despite a forecast of heavy rain and rumors that it would be canceled, Ryan took both boys on the yearly Father & Sons Campout.


So I was completely on my own, alone, from about 5:30 last night until 1:30 today! I don't know why I didn't think think of it earlier! I scrambled to think of what I could do with my fleeting hours of ME time.

I ended up renting a chick flick, Bride Wars. It was kinda funny, but I won't tell you to run out and see it.

Then the movie was over, and the sun was still up. It was only 8:30! Things go much, much faster when I don't have kids to deal with.

So I decided to go back to the movie store. We have these free rental coupons that expire at the end of June. So I rented Duchess. It's a period film, and it was a tear-jerker, but also kind of....eh. It's all about adultery, sort of Anna Karinena-ish. It makes me feel bad for the women of that time, but it still makes me sick.

But when I went to check out Duchess, they said I had a random free rental on my account that expired in 2 days. Okay then! So I also rented Emma Smith--My Story. I saved it to watch Sunday. And yes, I love living in enough of a Mormon-land that I can rent a movie about Emma Smith at Hollywood Video!

Then I slept in as long as I possibly could. The house was totally quiet. It was awesome! I won't tell you how late I slept; it makes me feel gluttonous.
