Stumpy

I'm sure glad I took those pictures of Luke yesterday, because this morning I unsnapped his jammies to find a belly button! Well, sort of. His umbilical cord stump didn't fall off completely. There's still a little bit of dark stuff left in the middle.

You're probably wondering why I'm glad I got the stump in the pictures yesterday. Well, the main problem with taking your own pictures is how much work they are. I'm sure it's much easier to hire a photographer with a studio instead of setting one up in your own bathroom.

And when you have a newborn, you're just not up to doing all the work at the recommended 6 days old. At least, I wasn't. But I still wanted the pictures to look like newborn pictures, so I'm glad he still had his stump at 3 weeks old!
