Bookworm

Ryan took Jared to the library on the way home from school today. I thought he'd get a refill of Magic Treehouse books, but he didn't come home with a single one. Instead, he got an Eyewitness book (nonfiction) about natural disasters, an A to Z Mystery book, and one called "How to Steal a Dog." When he showed me that last one, I thought it looked way too hard for him. It's kinda thick! And it just looks like a book for grown-ups.


So I went to Scholastic.com and looked up the grade level. It's 4.4! He jumped right into it, and we were shocked when he told us he was already on chapter 8. He's half-way through with it!

Thank goodness for libraries, because there's no way we could afford to buy him books!
