Labor Day

I think the purpose of Labor Day is to get everything done that you've been meaning to do all summer. Or at least try. And usually, it seems, that means cleaning out the garage.

That's what we did, and that's what the neighbors did, and it was soooo fun!  I know, you're wondering what in the world could make that fun.

It was the kids!

Our kids played together. The good, old-fashioned kind of playing together, like Ryan and I used to do when we were kids. We hardly saw them all day, we just kept an "ear" on them as they played on the driveway.

The neighbor's youngest is a girl just 3 days younger than Jared. And their older boys seemed to have lots of fun, too. There was a bubble machine and all sorts of old toys that we parents found in the garage, as well as a wagon and sidewalk chalk. The weather was perfect, and it was just a good day, the kind that just happens.
