Saving Up

Jared decided he wanted a scooter. He has a bike, but our only scooter this Playskool one. He's obviously grown a lot since then. He's too big, and of course, way too cool for it.

So we went to the store and found the one he wanted. It cost $30! That's a lot of money for a 6 year old. He saved up his allowance for five months, then threw in his Tooth Fairy money to cover the tax. There wer a lot of things that he could have spent that money on instead, but he kept his eyes on the prize!

We made a special trip to Target with cash in Jared's hand. He put the scooter up on the conveyor belt and paid all by himself. We're so proud of him for saving up for so long and reaching his goal!
