Luke is Ten Months Old!

I don't know why 10 months seems so much more than 9 months, but it's just hit me that 10 months is almost 12 months, and that's a year! Yikes, how did my baby get so big?

He's still a really good baby, going down for naps and bed easily and hardly ever fussing. He's just so darn happy!!! And he's started doing some really cute things. Here's a list of his recent accomplishments:

• He goes down the stairs! I can't believe he figured it out so young. He turns around and wiggles down on his tummy. No more baby gates for us!
• 
• He's getting the sign-language thing. It's so cute how he signs "all gone" when his food bowl is empty. Then, if he's still hungry, he signs "more."  Yesterday, he finally managed to do our sign for "fish" (opening and closing your mouth like a fish.) Now he points excitedly to the fish tank and smacks his lips.
• He's mastered standing! He can stand up without holding onto anything for a long, long time. He's not afraid of it anymore, either, so he does it a lot. And this one blows my mind; he can stand, then squat down to the floor, then stand up again, all without holding onto anything!
• Cruise King! He cruises all over the place. If he can reach something to hold onto, he'll walk there instead of crawling. But crawling is still so much faster that he usually does that.
• Luke is a nut. He just may steal Zach's designation as the family monkey. Maybe "family gorilla" would be more appropriate! He's so dang strong! He does pull-ups on the kitchen table, climbs anything he can, and I've been known to call him Houdini because he escapes from his high chair.

I have newer pictures than these, but he crawled off with my card-reader again. And it's been rainy, so I can't go out and do his 10-month photo shoot yet. Well, and the fact that my memory card is full because he crawled off with my card-reader again.  But I'll find a way soon!
