BACK HOME AGAIN?
Today I drove Ryan, Grandpa, and the boys out to the pool near our old house. It was so weird, because apparently my auto-pilot is still in effect for Glendale! I almost automatically turned up 47th Ave to go to our house.
Then the pool had a huge line just to get in, so we decided to try another one. We drove by our old house, which looks a little lonely without our flower pots out front. And it looks like the new owners aren't watering our little lemon tree :(
I stopped by at my friend Eva's house to see if she is still alive. She hasn't answered her phone when I've called to tell her we were coming. When she opened the door, her eyes got big for a second, but then it was just like we'd never left. The guys were still in the car, so I could only stay a minute, but she said that her week is now clear whenever I want to come over. We'll see them at church tomorrow, too.
I had to do a little shopping after I dropped the guys off at the pool. It's hot here. And the store was a mess, something that I hadn't really noticed when I lived here because I had nothing to compare it to. And I don't think I heard anyone but the employees speaking English. I guess it's making me appreciate Boise even more.
