If we live here forever like we hope to, our boys will go to Rocky Mountain High School. That has to be the coolest name ever. Okay, maybe it's not that cool if you weren't raised on John Denver songs, but I was, which means it's the coolest name ever!
I suppose it would be cooler if it were "Rocky Mountain High in Colorado," instead of in Idaho.
Of course, maybe it wouldn't be so cool if I were to get that song stuck in my head every single time I pick them up or drop them off from school. Eh, never mind. There's never a bad time for a John Denver song!
Speaking of which, now that it's Spring, we need to make use of our new house's firepit, my new guitar, and my newly found (discovered in a box, of course) John Denver songbook!

Is it a new school being built? I've never heard of it...
Nope, it's kind of in the middle of nowhere, over on Linder, I think, north of Ustick? It's not somewhere I end up driving.
All the youth in my ward go there, and I was reminded of the place while at McDonalds for 1/2 price Happy Meal night. A girl there was wearing a Rocky Mountain Grizzlies sweatshirt in a horrid palette of obnoxious purple and fluorescent orange. I guess those are the school colors? Yeah, when i think of the Rocky Mountains, I think of purple and orange. NOT! (although the Colorado Rockies baseball uniforms are purple...)
My daughter will be in the first graduating class from Rocky Mountain High next month. She has enjoyed her year there. It is a nice school. However, the name of the school tends to bring on endless "pot/marijauna" jokes because of the John Denver song - ugh. :)

Thanks, Susie, I now have the song stuck in my head! :-P
And wow, a high school that has worse colours than Canyon!
